Composing calm through detail
The brief
A renovation that is read in the detail of the materials.
A stone's throw from the Invalides, in a Haussmann apartment, this renovation is read in the detail of the materials. Woven cane, dark wood, pale stone and brushed brass compose a precious score, where every handle and every joint is considered. A landscape wallpaper carries this care right into the bedrooms. Here, the exceptional is not a statement, it is felt at the fingertips.
The studio's response

Material as a language
Woven cane, brushed brass, dark wood and pale stone: every assembly is considered with precision. This project rests entirely on the quality of the materials and on the rightness of how they are put to work.
"Beyond the care given to the materials, this was one of the most ambitious projects in terms of restructuring: rethinking the layout of a Haussmann apartment to let in calm and light, without sacrificing any of its soul."
